I want a dragon. Mostly so I can ride it around the world. Occasionally, however, I could stand to torch some people to a crisp in the process. You know, like selective assassination?
... and when you are not being an avenging angel, you could sit around the campfire together and he could toast your weinies for you. I always thought a dragon would make a cool friend if you got to know him. I think they are largely misunderstood.
